Identification of the most suitable experts to assist you in litigation

Through their professional experience in the valuation of companies, intangible assets, financial instruments and damages, as well as in complex tax matters, the founders (all members of the firms of Prof. Luigi Guatri, Prof. Cesare Conti, Studio Associato Piazza, CMF & PARTNERS) observed that, in the context of litigation, identifying an expert who can adequately meet the client's needs is often carried out in an unstructured manner.

More specifically, the founders noted the following:

• it is difficult for the client to independently select the most suitable expert;
• professionals/academics involved in litigation often work individually or in boutique firms. In other words, they are not part of structured organisations capable of reconciling the supply and demand of qualified experts in an orderly manner;
• there is therefore a clear need for an entity (which Italy, unlike many other countries, currently lacks) capable of recommending the most suitable expert for each case.
